On behalf of our Tietex team worldwide, you have our sincere thanks for entrusting us with your business. When my father Arno Wildeman founded our company a half century ago, he set the expectation — we would be a company with a relentless spirit of innovation. This goal was based upon his contagious belief that there is always a better way to do things and a better future ahead of us. As such, we operate by a set of core beliefs that define how we go about our work.

INNOVATE
Bringing better solutions to the world doesn’t stop with product development. This core philosophy spills over into many aspects of our business, notably in the development of improved manufacturing systems.
Early History
Arno Wildeman founded Tietex in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 1974. A dynamic, determined innovator, he emigrated from the UK because he saw the opportunity to pioneer stitchbond technology. He built his team, redesigned the original stitchbond process and earned a worldwide reputation as quality manufacturer and inventor. Following his death in 1987, his son Martin took the Tietex reins, committed to his father’s vision. Today, a 3rd generation of the Wildeman family has joined the ranks of the company.
Recent History
In 1997, Tietex completed construction and startup of its Asian manufacturing operations located in the export zone of Laem Chabang, Thailand’s largest seaport. In 2023, Tietex Vietnam, Ltd opened its doors for business in support of the footwear market. Today, Arno’s unbounded vision, spirit and work ethic are still entrenched within the company culture.
Sustainability
As a matter of policy, we are responsible for upholding our natural resources and a safe, healthy workplace. One pioneering achievement is the recycling of shoe factory cutting waste, but it's the investment in state-of-the-art technology that allows us to recycle this waste into a closed loop system. Further, our Environmental Excellence Team works to eliminate waste and toxic chemicals, reduce energy/water consumption & VOC/Co2 emissions, recycle company-wide and design sustainable products.
